Recycling Helps Everyone

Hydrovac waste is processed into recycled water, reclaimed sand, and repurposed silts, clays and aggregates for reuse. Everyone has a role to play in protecting the environment.

Cost Savings Are Just the Beginning

More than price, OE competes on results. End-to-end service means safer, more productive projects and peace of mind, while delivering the lowest overall cost.

One point of accountability from first locate to final restoration. OE runs its own trucks and restoration crews, and spoil is hauled to the state-of-the-art, ECA-approved soil recycling facility in the central GTA that OE utilizes. Co-location and on-premises soil disposal and recycling reduce travel, emissions and cost.

Introducing the Hybrid Hydrovac Truck

OE's new diesel-electric hybrid hydrovac truck was designed, developed and built in Canada with Edison Motors and Schellvac, after three years of research, engineering and testing.

It was designed from the ground up as a hybrid, with the truck and the hydrovac built to work as one system. This first truck is a test model, now heading into field work where OE will confirm its performance and reliability.

  • Safer. Technology that supports safer, more reliable work.
  • Quieter. Still a working truck, with less operating noise on early starts in residential neighbourhoods.
  • Cleaner. A hybrid design built to use less fuel.
  • Smarter. A simpler design with fewer mechanical parts.

Hydrovac spoil goes to the state-of-the-art, ECA-approved soil recycling facility in the central GTA that OE utilizes, where it becomes clean fill, sand and recycled water instead of waste.
