Concrete restoration returns a hard surface to service after the utility work beneath it is done. OE specializes in restoring soft and hard surfaces, and starts with excavations that are as small and neat as possible, so there is less to restore.
Where the opening was a keyhole core, OE reinstates the existing core with Utilibond, restoring the road or sidewalk to its original state. Where the surface needs more than the core, OE restores the concrete and the surrounding hard surfaces, including interlocking brick, patio stone and flagstone, to look as good or better than before.
Ontario municipal note: the party making a utility cut is usually responsible for restoring it to the municipality's standards. In Toronto, for example, specification TS 4.60 makes the applicant responsible for the temporary and permanent repair of concrete road pavement, sidewalks, curbs, boulevards and driveways, and requires unshrinkable fill under curbs, public sidewalks and concrete driveways next to the road. Keyhole cores in concrete are reinstated under TS 4.70 with a bonding material that securely bonds the core to the surrounding pavement.
